Author Archives: Nakul Anand/IC Youth Writer
Nakul Anand is a sophomore at Basis Independent High School in San Jose, California. He enjoys thinking about the intersection of politics and philosophy and is inspired by classical Greek/Roman thinkers like Thucydides, Cicero, and Socrates. Nakul has been published in school papers since elementary school, some of his recent writing can be found in his high school newspaper, The Quill.
Aside from political thinking, he also enjoys classical literature and will often seek comfort in a Hemingway, Poe, or Dostoevsky. When he is not passionately debating philosophy and politics, Nakul enjoys playing the violin and the viola for the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, preparing elaborate weekend meals for his family (Persian cuisine is his current favorite), or simply running around with his goofy labrador, Benji. Nakul sees himself as a policy wonk and aspires to work in International Relations and Diplomacy as an adult.
