Mainstream U.S. media rarely accounts for the diaspora-specific weight of this journey – from deciphering American eldercare systems without an extended family safety net, to carrying the cultural tension of needing help.

Since 1987, India Currents has reported on our community’s evolving realities with the cultural fluency you trust. From September 1 to 15, we are looking for 20 community members to join us in raising $5,000 to fund a dedicated aging and caregiving resource hub. Your tax-deductible contribution ensures these vital stories and resources reach Indian diaspora families all 12 months of the year.
