Members of the media and public are invited to attend the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters’ Media Day event on Thursday, February 15, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will be held to inform the media, as well as the public about the upcoming election, how to vote at a Vote Center, No Party Preference (NPP) voting options, and what measures are in place to ensure a safe and secure election.
“All members of the media and the public are welcome,” said Shannon Bushey, Registrar of Voters. “We are excited to share all that our office is doing to ensure fair, inclusive, accurate and transparent elections.”
A mock Vote Center will be set up inside the office atrium where a live demonstration will be held to highlight accessible services for seniors, voters with disabilities, and voters who primarily speak a language other than English. An ASL interpreter will be on-site to assist the hearing-impaired.
Attendees can tour the office to observe various election processes, explore large-scale county maps in the atrium, or browse the informational kiosks to learn about Pre-Registration and NPP voting.
