Indiaspora, a leading nonprofit organization of global Indian leaders from diverse backgrounds and professions, hailed continued strong engagement between the United States and India in a statement released Feb. 14.
Indiaspora Founder and Chairman MR Rangaswami said, “Indiaspora welcomes the commitment by Prime Minister Modi and President Trump to prioritize the US-India relationship, which is reinforced by the strong personal rapport between these leaders and the enduring partnership between the two great democracies.

PM Narendra Modi is just the fourth world leader to meet with President Trump within three weeks of his inauguration. His visit marks one of the earliest and most prominent diplomatic engagements of President Trump’s second term said the nonprofit, noting that the significance of this timing demonstrates the mutual respect and importance both nations place on their relationship.
Indiaspora expressed encouragement to see numerous Indian Americans taking on prominent roles in the new Trump administration, which reflects the diaspora’s bipartisan nature and commitment to public service across party lines.
According to the organization, joint appearances at major public gatherings in Houston and Ahmedabad strengthened the bond between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump during Trump’s first term. It welcomed constructive dialog between the two leaders on challenging topics such as trade, tariffs, and immigration policies as well as significant potential for collaboration on global challenges.
Indiaspora Executive Director, Sanjeev Joshipura, acknowledged the bipartisan consensus supporting Indo-U.S. relations which creates “a unique opportunity for both nations to demonstrate global leadership and advance their national interests.” He emphasized the importance of continued leadership, commitment, and dialog to ensure that both nations attain their economic, political and security goals. “While India and the United States navigate complex bilateral challenges—as is natural in any significant partnership— the relationship is broad and mature enough to take into stride differing opinions on certain topics.”
Chairman MR Rangaswami added, “We are confident that the global Indian diaspora will continue to serve as a vital bridge between these nations, fostering deeper collaboration that enhances prosperity, innovation, security, and well-being for both American and Indian citizens.”
