The Global Youth Empowerment Foundation (GYEF) will present Chokhi Dhani 2 Kurukshetra, a cultural extravaganza on June 29th at the India Community Center in Milpitas, California. GYEF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2024 as a grassroots umbrella organization to celebrate India’s rich culture and heritage by featuring different Indian states each year.
The Festival team is led by veterans of the Festival industry – Deepak Chhabra, Tinny Juneja, Shikha Srivastava, and Dr. Arti Sharma.
Deepak Chhabra has over 15 years of experience organizing exhibitions and rock concerts in 1980s India, featuring icons like Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Samantha Fox, Michael Earns, Samantha Rocks, and Yanni. Since moving to the US in 1999, he has orchestrated the renowned Bay Area Parade for two decades as well as cultural festivals including the Festival of India Day Parade, the Festival of Colors (Holi), the Festival of Lights (Diwali), Bengali Durga Puja and pioneered the Ganesh Visarjan (Immersion) cruise in the Bay Area.
Tinny Juneja is the Founder and Artistic Director of Bollywood Dance Connection school and a Co-Founder of MAC, Multicultural Arts Connect.
Shikha Srivastava is a Clinical Psychologist and educator who has organized multiple cultural events including “Dandiya”, ancient India Epic (Ramayana)
Dr. Arti Sharma, the CEO of Vdesi Jam, a DJ event company serving Bay Area for the last 10+ years with musical blends of Bollywood, Hip-hop, Tollywood, English, Rajasthan, Punjabi, among others.

Event Highlights
After organizing four successful events in the last two years, the next Festival on June 29 will celebrate the vibrant cultures of Rajasthan and Haryana through traditional cuisine, folk performances, and immersive experiences that celebrate the spirit of India.
