Beauty brand indē wild has secured $5 million in a funding round to support its international expansion. The round was led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from existing investors SoGal Ventures and True.
indē wild was co-founded by couple Diipa and Oleg Büller-Khosla, and the brand combines ancient Ayurvedic principles with modern chemistry to create its skincare and haircare products.
The brand’s signature Champi Hair Oil has become the top-selling hair oil on Nykaa, India’s leading beauty e-commerce platform, outperforming established global giants including Olaplex, L’Oréal and Kama Ayurveda.
The brand’s direct-to-consumer platforms in the US and UK have also seen significant growth, fueled by products like Champi Hair Oil, Dewy Lip Treatment, and SPF Rose Sun Mist Spray.
indē wild plans to use the funding to accelerate its international expansion, focusing on its existing partnership with Sephora in the UK and its forthcoming launch in Sephora US.
Diipa Büller-Khosla, founder of indē wild, said: “We are thrilled to have Unilever Ventures join us on our journey as we continue to redefine holistic skincare and haircare. Their investment is a testament to the power of our community-centric approach and our commitment to creating authentic, heritage-inspired products backed by scientific innovation.”
