Indian comedian Vir Das won the International Emmy award in the comedy category for his Netflix standup special Landing. He shared the award with the third season of British comedy Derry Girls. Das is the first Indian to win an International Emmy in this category.
Apart from Das, producer Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms received the Directorate award for her contribution to international television. Actors Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh were also nominated for their performances in the second season of Delhi Crime and second season of Rocket Boys respectively, but did not win.
