ParivarBayArea and the LGBT Asylum Project have announced an enhanced partnership under the banner of the Center for Immigration Protection (CIP). The CIP was founded in 2015 by immigration attorneys Okan Sengun, Esq. and Brooke Westling, Esq. and provides legal advice, counsel and representation to immigrants who identify as LGBTQIA+, through the LGBT Asylum Project.

ParivarBayArea is a pioneering transgender rights organization that creates space for Queer, Transgender, Gender non-conforming and Intersex (TGNCI+) individuals from the South Asian diaspora and beyond.

Together under the banner of the CIP, the LGBT Asylum Project and Parivar aim to center the voices of TGNCI+ immigrants, provide them with legal and administrative support, and to promote awareness and education across the country. You can donate to these organizations here.
