Sid and Nandan Naresh are brothers who started playing table tennis with their father in the basement of their Naperville, Illinois home. Their father was a recreational player who moved to the U.S. for grad school and brought his passion for the game with him. He introduced his sons Sid and Naresh to the game, but little did he know that both of them would pursue the sport professionally.
A childhood pastime, turned into a passion, followed by success for both as they represented the U.S. national teams in their age groups. Today, both the Naresh boys have moved away from Naperville – Sid (19) is in Germany playing for a professional league, while Nandan is training at the 888 Table Tennis Center in California.
Most recently, the two reunited in Santiago, Chile where they were representing the United States at the PanAmerican Games, where the two won the Bronze medal in the Men’s Team event. Read more about their story here.
