Crowds gathered along the sidewalk and streets of Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont eager to see the parade. Some viewers rushed onto the street to take selfies against the backdrop of colorful dance and music.

Grand Marshals actor Abhimanyu Dassani and actres Meghana Raj were on-hand ready to greet fans and add a splash of glamor. Floats represented various Indian states showcasing the diversity of India.

The parade also featured Shaolin martial arts demonstrations and the Mission San Jose High School’s marching band. The vibrant event celebrated the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence.
