Bhangra on the dance floor

It was an evening of mehendi, henna and music when Nonstop Bhangra hit the dance floor at the Asian Art Museum. The party celebrated the opening of Beyond Bollywood: 2000 Years of Dance in Art. The exhibit, open through July 10, highlights South and Southeast Asian dance. It explores the sacred to the sensual along with the glamor of modern Bollywood. Beyond Bollywood celebrates the joy and power of millennia of movement.
