On May 4, around 1 pm, a group of robbers looted Sunnyvale jewelry store Nitin Jewelers situated on El Camino Real. Police believe that there were as many as ten suspects, and that at least one of them had a gun.
According to a report, the suspects entered the store and started breaking the glass display cases and grabbing the jewelry, and cleaned out the store in a few minutes, before driving off in multiple cars going in different directions. No employee was hurt.
The Indian-owned store was established in 1986, and specializes in crafting high-end luxury jewelry and gold and silver pieces. Police are now working with the owner and employees of the store to examine the CCTV footage of the store and investigate further.Â
