According to Hurun Research Institute’s analysis, Mumbai now has more billionaires than any other Asian city, overtaking Beijing. Mumbai’s tally of 92 billionaires is third on the list behind New York (119) and London (97). Beijing follows Mumbai at 91 billionaires, while New Delhi is ninth on the list with 57 billionaires, ahead of San Francisco (52).
China tops the list of countries with the highest number of billionaires (814), followed by the United States (800) and India (271). India added 84 new billionaires in this past year, and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani continues to be the country’s richest man, with a net worth of more than $110 billion.
