Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) is going to change everything around us just like Electricity did 100 years ago. We wanted to make sure the upcoming middle school and high school students are prepared for this shift. It is with this intent that we started AI Academy.
There is a lot of material on AI/ML available online but we felt real learning would be more effective if done interactive and with emphasis on real world problems. So we have structured our offerings to be in person (class/zoom) lessons. Our focus has been to not just teach students concepts of artificial intelligence/machine learning but also how to apply it to real-life problems. Students do many exercises and a group project at the end of the course to apply all they have learned.We have been teaching upper-middle school and high school students since the fall of 2018. We have also taught international students at San Jose State University.
