“Why This Kolaveri Di” (Why This Murderous Rage, Girl?) is a Tamil song from the soundtrack of a 2012 psychological thriller film. The song is written and sung by Dhanush, the movie is directed by his wife, Aishwarya R. Dhanush, and the music is directed and composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The original song was officially released on 16 November 2011 and instantly became viral on social networking sites for its quirky “Tanglish” lyrics.
