On September 19, actors Megan Suri and director Bishal Dutta attended a special screening of their upcoming film It Lives Inside at the DGA Theater complex in Los Angeles. Suri plays an Indian American teenager who comes up against pishacha, a demon from Indian folklore. The film follows her as she gets back in touch with her roots, and investigates ancient Indian myths to overcome this chilling supernatural force.

The film is Dutta’s feature debut and is produced by Sean McKittrick and Raymond Mansfield, the producers of the iconic 2017 horror film Get Out. Earlier this year, the film premiered at the prestigious SXSW film festival and also bagged the Midnighters Audience Award. The film will release in theaters across North America on September 22.
