India Currents rocked the 2025 California News Publishers Association (CNPA) excellence in journalism awards with a record haul of 11 top honors. At a gala held at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City Hotel on Saturday, May 17, eighteen India Currents writers won awards for their outstanding work in 11 categories for Division 7. The CNPA awards recognize newsrooms across California for their work in informing and enlightening readers through reporting, design, photography, and multimedia in print and online.

The India Currents Editorial Team scored awards for three categories: our brand new home page layout, public service, and audience engagement.
