Over 100 enthusiastic volunteer faculty members of the non-profit Art of Living Foundation (AoLF) were trained to teach the new Get Happy program at the foundation’s Santa Clara center location.  The Art of Living “Happiness Program” is being offered as a two-part program – Get Happy and Get Happier. Local Get Happy programs will be rolled out across the Bay Area this month with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

“The goal of our new program layout is to create opportunities with respect to flexibility in cost and time commitment, and enable more people from the community to experience and learn the powerful Sudarshan Kriya™ breathing technique that is unique to AoLF,” said Kinjal Desai, Director of Training and Development with AoLF. “We want to further expand the reach of our programs and make available the tools for personal health and happiness to a broader audience, and this new model allows us to do that,” he added.

On the Get Happy program participants get the experience of effective breathing techniques and a taste of Sudarshan Kriya™ to help deal with stresses and discover the power of breath as a lasting tool for happiness. The Get Happier program offers a deeper understanding with a full experience of Sudarshan Kriya™, practical wisdom and interactive sessions. Participants will learn the take home practice of the breathing techniques and will be equipped to incorporate it in their daily life. Prerequisite for Get Happier is Get Happy.

“Art of Living’s Bay Area faculty members are inspired to take forward our core message of individual peace through holistic tools of breathing and meditation, in order to create sustainable peace and happiness in the communities and societies around us,” said Nandan Udiavar, Director, Northern California Regional Board of AoLF. The Get Happy fee is $95 and graduates take Get Happier at $295. Get Happy is taught over two 3-hour sessions, while Get Happier will be taught over two 6-hour sessions. The best part is that those who take the Get Happy program from now until end of June will be able to do the Get Happier in Sri Sri’s presence in July.
