Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and businesswomen Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Soma Mondal and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw are ranked among the 100 most powerful women of 2023 by Forbes in a list released last week. Belgian stateswoman Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission tops of the list, while Kamala Harris, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are some of the other popular figures on the list.

Finance Minister Sitharaman, who was ranked 64th on last year’s list is ranked 32nd this year. She is joined by HCL Corporations CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra ranked 60th; Chairperson of SAIL Soma Mondal (70th) and Biocon Founder and managing Director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw (76th).
