According to reports, four Indians died in a multi-vehicle car accident that took place in Texas on Friday, August 30. The victims have been preliminarily identified as Aryan Raghunath Orampati, Farooq Shaik, Lokesh Palacharla, and Dharshini Vasudevan. 

The group was carpooling together to Bentonville, Arkansas in an SUV when a speeding truck rammed the car from the rear on the northbound US-75 highway near Anna City in Texas. The collision caused the SUV to burst into flames, burning all four passengers to death. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash, and three others sustained injuries as a result.

All four victims were Indian nationals. The Hindustan Times reports that Orampati and Shaik were returning after visiting the former’s cousin in Dallas. Palacharla and Vasudevan were traveling to Bentonville to meet their wife and uncle respectively. 

As the bodies were severely burned, authorities are analyzing fingerprints, and teeth and bone remains to confirm the identities of the victims.
