We Won 10 awards at the San Francisco Press Club Awards

Last week India Currents proved once again that with reader support, we are an award winning team!
We won 10 awards for excellence in journalism on Dec 8 at the San Francisco Press Club Awards, up against some pretty stiff competition!
With your support, we continue to produce outstanding stories. Srishti Prabha was recognized for her coverage on the importance of desi grocery stores during the pandemic, as were stories on Desi Voters by Jaya Padmanabhan, Meera Kymal and Ritu Marwah. Winners included Avatans Kumar, Ayanna Gandhi, and Medha Sarkar, for their Desi Voices commentaries. Our investigative series on transnational abandonment by Meera Kymal and Anjana Nagarajan-Butaney continues its winning streak.
