Marakatha Malya – 35th Anniversary Celebration

We are very excited to celebrate 35 years of dance, music, and community at Jayamangala School of Music and Dance! Please take the time to read this note, as it goes over some important information regarding this event.

 

This is a ticketed event. Pricing is as follows:

  • $25 for current students and alum of Jayamangala School of Music and Dance
  • $25 for seniors (65+)
  • $30 (12 and up)
  • Free admission for kids 12 and under

The pricing includes entry and lunch.

 

Payment will be processed through Zelle or Venmo. In the subject line, please include the following formatting: JM 35, the names of each attendee in your party, yourself included.

Parking: There is plenty of free parking available at the venue. Please park in the venue’s parking lots and walk down to the mansion.

 

We understand that there are some individuals and families attending from out of town. The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will be the closest airport to the venue (~30 min drive). Here are some links for nearby accommodations (~10 min drive):

 

We would love for you to attend for the entire duration of the event. Here is a general itinerary for what you can expect day-of:

  • 10am: Welcome and individual workshops/presentations
  • 12pm: Lunch break
  • 1pm: Performances from the Jayamangala music ensemble
  • 1:30pm: Awards ceremony
  • 2-2:40pm: Group dance presentations
  • 2:40-3:00pm: Closing remarks and farewell

 

Attire: For this event, we suggest festive Indian or western clothing.
