Indian Jazz Journey – Mahesh Kale, George Brooks and V. Selvaganesh

Kale in 2017, the Stanford Jazz Festival’s Indian Jazz Journey has featured an array of illustrious Western jazz artists collaborating with acclaimed North and South Indian classical musicians, a legacy that continues at Stanford Jazz Festival on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Dinkelspiel Auditorium (4pm) when Brooks and Kale perform with V. Selvaganesh, a scion to one of South India’s greatest percussion dynasties.
For this event they’re accompanied by the supremely versatile pianist Frank Martin, electric bassist Kai Eckhardt, and drummer Scott Amendola.
