As You Are

A dance-theatre Bharatanatyam production titled “As You Are” will premiere at BAM House in Oakland, offering an exploration of women’s experiences through movement and personal narratives.

Developed by Shruti Abhishek Dance in collaboration with Narika, a nonprofit supporting domestic violence survivors, six dancers will participate in the performance to illuminate complex stories of resilience, motherhood, and personal sacrifice.
