The Poetry of Diaspora in Silicon Valley

We will be gathering at Shoreline Park (green grass patch near the Cafe) on Feb 15th, Saturday from 3 to 5:30pm for our regular poetry circle. (Rain might move us indoors or to an alternate location but we will read for sure).

Let me know either way. I know Saturdays are busy for many – but this is an opportunity to show up and ensure that the govt. cancelling DEI efforts is not going to change our grassroots efforts to be engaged and win the love of our communities by sharing our joys and passions freely, every chance we get.

PS: If you can volunteer more time on March 15th, than the minutes to read a poem from the stage, we can do more for the community. I have a few more days to apply for a cultural table to be present for the duration of the festival. I can’t do it alone. IF I get a few volunteers, we can do this. It is a great chance to talk to many families and kids – who come to the festival to learn about the multicultural people who live here. We can read poems together there, and showcase our poetry books. Without volunteered commitments from a few of you for a few hours, my ideas will remain khyaali pulao.
