APILO Services

Since 1975, Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach has helped many people in marginalized communities to seek legal representation. The goal of APILO is to provide culturally competent and linguistically appropriate legal representation, social support, and advocacy.

The work focuses on promoting community growth, empowerment, and self-sufficiency. The purpose of community-based initiatives is to break the generational cycle of violence against older people, young people, and women, as well as individuals with disabilities, immigrants, and the older people, who frequently require legal assistance.

API Legal Outreach uses a comprehensive strategy to address a wide range of community needs. The services include legal counsel from California-licensed attorneys who focus on immigration, family law, domestic abuse, and tenant rights.

They also provide counseling and other vital community resources as part of the social support offerings. Their educational advocacy programs include policy lobbying and workshops aimed at educating individuals about their rights. This comprehensive approach gives people the confidence to make a real difference in the community.
