Ding Ding TV and Silicon Valley Community Media hosted a screening of  Tony Shyu’s film “The Builders of Silicon Dreams” on May 28th at Alexander’s Steakhouse. It was followed by a Civic Leadership Forum on the topic “Telling Asian American Stories to the Mainstream.”

The event launched the Annual Asian American Stories Video Competition on the theme “All of Us Belong Right Here.”

California State Assemblymember Evan Low joked “There is no such thing as a free lunch,” as he encouraged attendees to promote Asian American stories.

Several notable Asian American entrepreneurs, scholars, and leaders attended the screening. They included Kenneth Fong, Rose Tseng, and Evan Low, along with filmmaker Tony Shyu of Himalaya. Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor and Fremont Mayor Lily Mei joined the festivities.
