Cricket and Bollywood Themed Cruise


At a glittering ceremony in Mumbai, India’s legendary cricket star Sachin Tendulkar launched the first ever luxury Monarch Cruise featuring the best of Cricket and Bollywood.

Apart from Sachin Tendulkar, Monarch named Aussie cricket greats Shane Warne and Brett Lee as brand ambassadors. They will join Sri Lankan cricket star Kumar Sangakkara, South African duo Jacques Kallis and Graeme Smith, current New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, Australian Cricket Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Thomson and former Australian players Michael Bevan, Damien Martyn, Dean Jones and Shane Lee on the ultimate cricket fans themed cruise.

Passengers joining the journey will have access to exclusive opportunities including “Dine with a Cricketer”, Cricket talk shows, Cricket Master Classes and could even face a ball from Spin King Shane Warne.

Speaking on the occasion, Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar said, “Cricket and Bollywood are two huge passions, this cruise promises to be quite a thrilling experience. I look forward to joining fellow cricketers from across the world along with illustrious Bollywood stars, brilliant chefs and of course, my fans.”

Passengers will be spoilt with top international entertainers stand-up comics Vir Das and Papa CJ, singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Neha Kakkar, actress Neha Dhupia, rapper Badshah, famed chef Sanjeev Kapoor and a host of other illustrious personalities on the cruise.

The cruise offers seven different itineraries with four 7-day legs, two 13-day legs, and one 26-day experience for the cruise enthusiasts. The Journey will include destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

With red carpet gala events, world class DJs, deliciously prepared gourmet meals and indulgent spa treatments onboard, Monarch will bring an unforgettable experience in March 2017. Exceptional care will be taken to ensure the 2,200 passengers will have the best of food, music and entertainment.
