The Empire State Building in New York will light up in India’s tricolors on Aug. 15, to celebrate the 75th birthday of the nation.

Earlier that afternoon at 1 p.m., Indian film composer, lyricist, singer-songwriter and composer Devi Sri Prasad will visit the world famous site to flip the ceremonial light switch at a public event.

“I am truly honored to be invited as the guest of honor for the ceremonial lighting of the Empire State Building,” said Prasad in a tweet.

Singer Shankar Mahadevan will visit the Observatory Experience to take part in the celebrations.

New York-based Indian restaurant Taco Mahal will offer their famous samosas and roti tacos (chicken tikka masala and chana masala) on its 86th Floor Observatory from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m.

An Independence Day Parade will be held in Manhattan on Aug. 21.
