Rohit Upamaka is a rising Junior at Mission San Jose High School. He began learning Hindustani classical music when he was 11 years old with Manojji and Archanaji Tamhankar in Fremont. He continued his interest with Shri Nachiketa Yakkundi in Cupertino and currently is learning from Shri Tejas Koparkar. He is a published author in the fantasy genre and was a performing artist in Naatak's Bombay Talkies, where he sang and acted as Kishore Kumar. He looks forward to bringing Hindustani music to a wider audience who can appreciate its greatness no matter their skill level.
