Indian carrier Air India announced that this winter, it will operate regular A350 flights between New York and Delhi, servicing both JFK and Newark airports in New York. The JFK-Delhi routes will have a one daily flight starting November 1. The Newark-Delhi routes will begin in January 2025, and the airline will ply five flights a week on that route.
The deployment of these A350 craft will introduce Air India’s Premium Economy class experience for the first time on the New York JFK-Delhi and Newark-Delhi routes. The flights will also feature updated interiors along with new seats, in-flight entertainment systems, bedding, cutlery and chinaware.
The addition of these flights is part of Air India’s push over the last few months to progressively replace its legacy aircraft with newer ones on U.S. routes. The flights are now available for reservation on Air India’s website, app, and through travel agents.
