Founded in 2000 by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, AIM for Seva works to bridge the gap between privilege and deprivation by providing quality, value-based education and free student hostels to children across 17 states in India. The organization has expanded to support 4,000 children across 95 student hostels, known as chatralayas, impacting 2,700 villages.

Hostel Facilities and Educational Support: According to the press release, the free hostels provide shelter, three nutritious meals, healthcare, school uniforms, books, sports, and extracurricular activities. AIM for Seva strategically places these facilities near local government schools to ensure seamless access to education, typically supporting children from fifth to twelfth grade for seven years.

About a decade ago, feedback from parents regarding government schools led AIM for Seva to expand its model by establishing Vidyalayas. These integrated facilities feature English-medium K-12 schools paired with boys’ and girls’ hostels. The organization currently operates four fully functioning Vidyalayas, with five additional facilities under construction.

The fundraising drive opened with a contribution from 12-year-old local youth donor Nirvaan Goel, who pledged $7,000 from his earned money to support 14 students for a year. The event successfully reached its goal of securing annual sponsorships for over 500 students along with six school buses, donated by local community members.
