The Mangalorean Konkan Christian Association held its 20th annual Christmas celebrations at St. Hubert’s Church Hall at Hoffman Estates, Illinois. MKCA members attended a general Holy Eucharist, and a Mass during which members Dominick Carrabotta and Savio Pais read the first and second readings at the Mass.
Leonard Lobo Shenoy, the President of MKCA delivered a welcome address thanking members and guests for their staunch support. Savio Pais acted as emcee for the night, conducting group activities for children, couples, and adults, after which children sang Christmas Carols.
The program culminated with a sumptuous dinner of traditional delicacies. DJ Queenie Mendonca provided entertainment for the evening, playing Konkani, Hindi, Kannada, and Spanish songs to the delight of the audience members who danced to the tunes in celebration.
