TiEcon, TiE Silicon Valley’s annual flagship conference, is fast approaching on May 5th and 6th. As the conference is geared toward inspiring entrepreneurs, there will be 15 content tracks and supplementary programs — a mentoring program to provide entrepreneurs with mentorship, contests to honor the top startups, a daylong bootcamp, and a Startup Expo showcasing.
The conference will be kicked off by legendary venture capitalist Tim Draper, and bookended by biotech billionaire and Cancer Moonshot 2020 founder Patrick Soon-Shiong.
In between, the Chief Information Officer of Estonia will discuss Estonia’s march to a fully digital country. Bonny Simi, the President of Jet Blue Technology Ventures will give a keynote alongside Ashish Kumar, founder of electric airplane company Zunum Aero. Dave McClure of 500 Startups, Duncan Davidson of Bullpen Capital, and Geoff Ralston of YCombinator will discuss funding and business plan considerations. The Chief Marketing Officer of Marketo will kick off the Martech track discussing the growing Martech landscape.
Fresh off the heels of a $60M Series D, Lytro’s Jason Rosenthal will keynote the AR/VR track as his company works to reimagine content as we know it. The EVP of Product at Ancestry.com will explore science advancements through the cloud and machine learning.
Ultimately, the goal of the speaking sessions is to deep-dive into trending technologies and where they’re headed in order to inspire the entrepreneur attendees to pursue their dreams in each of these fields.
For 25 years, TiE Silicon Valley has had speakers such as Elon Musk, Marissa Mayer, Satya Nadella, Jack Welch, Vinod Khosla, and countless others. For its flagship conference and Silver Jubilee year for the organization, TiEcon 2017 will be no exception!
