WHAT WE NEED

YOUR ARTICLE

• Your article between 800-2000 words, shared as a Google doc (with edit mode for IC editors).
• A Title and a Subtitle: Our editors may edit the title, subhead, and content for conciseness and clarity and to meet SEO requirements. 
• Hyperlinked sources for fact-based claims, statistics, studies, etc., quoted in your article. Please check your hyperlinks before submission. Please use authenticated sources for your stories. If your sources are not credible we cannot publish the story.
• Writers cannot copy-paste text from other sources unless it’s a direct quote
• Ensure that all names (people, places) are spelled correctly.
• Expect edits. Our editorial team will work with you to improve the article for brevity, accuracy, and clarity.
• All edits made by the editor are FINAL.

IMAGES

We rely on our writers to provide appropriate images with the stories. All images must meet these requirements to be used in your story. 

• Photos must be copyright-free.
• Lead image size must be at least 1200×675 pixels, horizontal rather than portrait mode
• Images in the body of the article can be either portrait or horizontal
• Every image must have a caption (what the image is about)
• Your editor will resize/crop images to fit our template as required.
• Every image must have a credit (who took the picture or supplied it to you). 
• If sourced from a copyright-free site on the Internet, please submit the source URL along with the picture.
• Sources: Canva, Creative Commons, Wikimedia.com, Flickr, Photopin, Pixabay, Pexel, and Unsplash are good sources for free photos.
