The 2024 Presidential race dominated headlines throughout 2024, and for good reason, given all the dramatic events leading up to the elections: a contentious Republican primary, Joe Biden’s disastrous debate, an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Biden’s exit from the race, Kamala Harris’ brat summer, Trump’s three-hour-long chat with Joe Rogan, and his 40-minute impromptu dance performance. 

As November 5 drew near, polls and experts suggested the election would go down to the wire. 

In the early hours of November 6, the Associated Press called the election for Donald Trump, who will take office in January as the United States’ 47th President.
