The Registrar of Voters (ROV) announced today that it will host an in-person Voter Accessibility Workshop on February 15, 2024. All members of the public are invited to learn about accessible voting resources for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election. Attendees can ask questions and observe a live demonstration of accessible voting equipment. An ASL interpreter will be on-site to assist the hearing-impaired.
“Every registered voter in our County has the right to vote,” said Shannon Bushey, Registrar of Voters. “This workshop is intended to introduce supplies, voting equipment and processes we have in place to ensure all voters can cast their ballot.”
The County offers an array of accessible resources for our voters, such as accessible ballot marking devices, audio ballots, curbside voting, and Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM) that allows voters to vote independently from their homes.
The Registrar of Voters works together with our Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) members, who provide input and recommendations to enhance inclusive and accessible voting for Santa Clara County voters. For more information on the VAAC and how to become a member, visit sccvote.org/VAAC.
