VFS Global has significantly expanded its Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs) across the United States, launching eight new locations that bring the total network to 16 centers nationwide. The new centers in Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Raleigh, and San Jose aim to provide more accessible consular services for the 5.3 million Indian Americans and other applicants seeking visa, passport, and citizenship-related services.
There are some improvements in the expanded network including operations on Saturday for increased flexibility, a complimentary return courier service, more services like photograph and form assistance at no additional costs.
The new centers will serve the Indian Consulate jurisdictions in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C. Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra highlighted that these centers will enhance “people to people ties” and improve service delivery for the Indian diaspora.
Additional expansion is planned, with a Los Angeles center scheduled to open in August, which will bring the total to 17 centers across the United States.
