Oasis in San Francisco, known for its internationally acclaimed drag show nightclub and cabaret hosted a fundraising dance party called DHOOM: Queer Desi Daytime Dance Party on Mar. 26, 2023.
Emceed and co-hosted by Sarang Bhatt and Sanjay Makhijani, with support from Impulse SF, the party started at 3 pm in the afternoon and continued into evening. This second DHOOM event created a space for South Asian LGBTQ+ community and allies, allowing for the expression of South Asian culture through dance and art.
Along with live entertainment, astrological readings and jewelry were available for guests. Partial proceeds from the event went to Parivar Bay Area.
