The Avanti Foundation presents Graz-Gaash, a one-of-a-kind musical event that combines Kashmiri music with the music of Bihar and Maharashtra. The event will take place 6:30 pm at the Fremont Downtown Event Center on September 14.
In Kashmiri, the word ‘graz’ means a loud sound, and ‘gaash’ means light or the ability to see. Artists from five different states of India will join hands with Kashmiri Musicians to present classical, folk and popular music from across these schools in a single unified thread during the event.
The Avanti Foundation is a California-based nonprofit that focuses on nurturing Indic traditions. In 2024, the organization is planning to facilitate promotion of various hospitals in Jammu & Kashmir that specialize in Eye Care and Eye Surgery, including free of cost services for socio-economically challenged individuals in the region.
