On September 21, the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH) celebrated its 25th year anniversary at a silver jubilee gala held in the Hilton Americas in Houston. More than 700 guests attended the event to celebrate the organization’s impact on the Indo-American business community in the region. 

Congressman Al Green and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis recognized Nick Dhanani and Wallis Bank for their contributions to the gala. IACC India Secretary General Kamal Vora, visiting from India, was also honored as the organization’s long-time friend and partner in India. John Whitmire, Mayor of Houston, and D.C. Manjunath, Consul General of India, Houston also delivered addresses at the event. 

A special panel moderated by the Chamber’s past president Sanjay Ramabhadran, highlighted the Chamber’s key accomplishments over the past 25 years. Panelists included Dr. Durga Agrawal, IACCGH advisor; Paul Hamilton, former President of Shell USA; and Dr. Renu Khator, Chancellor of the University of Houston System among others. 

Executive Director Jagdip Ahluwalia concluded the event with his remarks, expressing gratitude to sponsors, community partners, and members for their steadfast support over the past 25 years and looked forward to 25 more successful years for the Chamber.
