The Embassy of India in Washington D.C., in partnership with the Indian Ministry of Education, University Grants Commission (UGC), and Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), has launched the second round of its virtual mentoring series “MARG” (Mentoring for Academic Excellence and Research Guidance). This program connects students and researchers from Indian universities with Indian-origin faculty at prestigious US universities.

The initiative aims to provide Indian students and researchers with access to the latest advancements, research, innovation, and skill-building opportunities.  The program will feature professors from renowned US universities such as Stanford, Purdue, University of Maryland, and George Mason University.

At the launch of the second round on March 7th, Deputy Chief of Mission Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan emphasized the growing academic, research, and industrial ties between India and the US, particularly in critical and emerging technologies.

She expressed gratitude to the Indian diaspora professors for their participation and encouraged them to maintain connections with Indian universities.
