In particular\, we’re proud of our “Stop The Hate\, Spread The Love.” series which reported on an alarming uptick in hate crimes and incidents against Asian Americans. \nIndia Currents was the first publication to report an 8-minute anti-Hindu tirade against a Taco Bell patron who was picking up his order. As our story started making the rounds\, other local media picked it up. India Currents made a difference: the alleged perpetrator was identified and charged with a hate crime. \nHow do we move from hate to love? Our series includes portraits of mixed-race couples and will focus on people and initiatives attempting to bridge the divide. \nThis Stop The Hate\, Spread The Love series is just one example of the kind of work you’ve come to expect from us.
