DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special screening of the critically acclaimed short film\, Madhavi: \n“An Indian divorcee\, struggling to raise her daughter\, is forced to confront her violent and painful past at a lunch gathering with old friends.” – IMDb \nMADHAVI is a proof-of-concept short film that deals with the aftermath of domestic abuse. Though it tackles the presence of domestic abuse within the South Asian community MADHAVI is also about a mother and a survivor. The film is universal in its theme. \nMadhavi is the winner for Best Short Film by UK Asian Film Festival 2023\, winner for Best Drama Film by Oregon Short Film Festival – Winter 2023\, winner for Best Social Impact/Justice Short Film by Phoenix Shorts 2023.
