Marin Theatre’s Boyer Main Stage will be entirely reconfigured for this immersive celebration\, with the entire audience seated onstage. Audience seating choices range from Top Table (part of the action) to Wallflower (close enough to observe the fun\, but not participate). Written by Jacob Rajan and Justin Lewis of the New Zealand-based Indian Ink Theatre Company\, the work is framed as a sequel to the wildly successful play “Krishnan’s Dairy.” The Waikato Times hailed “Mrs. Krishnan’s Party” as “So different\, so original\, so creatively fresh\, and so much fun no one wanted to go home\,” while NZ Herald lauded it for “the show’s generous spirit [which] offers a timely reminder that live theatre is a gift which engenders connection\, sharing\, and celebration of community.” The production will feature actors Kalyani Nagarajan as Mrs. Krishnan\, and Justin Rogers as James\, a university student aching for a DJ career.

DESCRIPTION:Hello Poetry Lovers\, \n\n\nWe will be gathering at Shoreline Park (green grass patch near the Cafe) on Feb 15th\, Saturday from 3 to 5:30pm for our regular poetry circle. (Rain might move us indoors or to an alternate location but we will read for sure). \n\nSave the date and let me know if you want to read from the stage of the Mountain View Multicultural festival. Some of us did this last year and had fun. I have asked for a 15 minute slot for my group. Saturday\, March 15\, 2025\, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n\n\nLet me know either way. I know Saturdays are busy for many – but this is an opportunity to show up and ensure that the govt. cancelling DEI efforts is not going to change our grassroots efforts to be engaged and win the love of our communities by sharing our joys and passions freely\, every chance we get.\n\nHave a great day\,\nJyoti Bachani\n\nPS: If you can volunteer more time on March 15th\, than the minutes to read a poem from the stage\, we can do more for the community. I have a few more days to apply for a cultural table to be present for the duration of the festival. I can’t do it alone. IF I get a few volunteers\, we can do this. It is a great chance to talk to many families and kids – who come to the festival to learn about the multicultural people who live here. We can read poems together there\, and showcase our poetry books. Without volunteered commitments from a few of you for a few hours\, my ideas will remain khyaali pulao.
