On May 19\, 2023 this talented group premieres new work exploring a myriad of universal human emotions via rich poetry and music \nLive Orchestra: Nattuvangam : Jayanthi Sridharan; Vocal : Snigdha Venkataramani; Mridangam: Ravindra Bharathy; Violin: Vikram Raghukumar \nJyotsna Vaidee is an award winning Bharatanatyam choreographer and dancer and the founder of Samudra Dance Creations. A Canadian-American-Indian\, Jyotsna’s work is influenced by her upbringing in multiple countries. Samudra Dance Creations seeks to represent and empower the Indian community operating in a Diaspora environment and also seeks to engage mainstream. Jyotsna is a well-established Bharatanatyam soloist who has immersed herself in the art for over 25 years. She is a senior disciple of Padma Bushan Prof CV Chandrasekhar and Nritya Kalandhi Smt. Bragha Bessell. \nHer performances have received critical acclaim in India and North America. She is a regular performer at India’s (Chennai) December dance and music season and has performed full length solo concerts known as “Margam” at reputed festivals and has received titles such as Natya Ratna from Trinity Arts and Natya Shiromani. His uncle’s Qawwali group\, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s party\, is where he started his career. He comes from a family of Qawwali singers. \nRahat Fateh Ali Khan has published multiple albums\, and the music he creates crosses many genres\, including current and fusion music as well as traditional live music concert from Pakistan and India. His Qawwali performances\, which are distinguished by their vivacious rhythms and devout lyrics\, are particularly well-known. \nAlong with having a successful live music career in USA\, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has also established a solid reputation as a Bollywood playback singer thanks to the inclusion of his songs in numerous well-known movies.
