WHAT IS BHARATA NATYAM?
Bharata Natyam is an ancient South Indian classical dance form which is over 2000 years old. It combines rhythm, body movement and facial expressions. The themes in the dances in Bharatha Natyam are drawn from the Hindu religion and mythology. Mastery over this dance form requires many years of mental and physical discipline. Bharata natyam is an outward expression in movement of inner spiritual feelings.
