About Us | India Currents | San Jose CA

India Currents is a media company devoted to the exploration of the heritage and culture of India as it exists in the United States of America. Through its print and digital platforms, it covers a wide range of subjects—arts, film, literature, travel, food, healthy living, business—that are of interest to Indian-Americans and Indophiles.

The premise on which India Currents is founded is simple: that Americans of all backgrounds are interested in learning about other world cultures and that they respond to information that is presented to them in an accessible and attractive manner.

India Currents magazine has been in continuous publication since April 1987. Today, it has the largest circulation among Indian publications. It is published in two print editions—West Coast and East Coast editions. It is also accessible as a digital magazine, online, on mobile devices as well as social media. Through these avenues, we reach 200,000 readers every month.

India Currents magazine is an important resource for demographic information on the Indian community. It is indexed by Lexis/Nexis and the Ethnic Watch database.

India Currents has won a lot of praise and recognition for its editorial content over the years.
